I have a beef with guilds that use toon level to determine ranks. I think its dumb to reward people for doing what we all want to do, which is play the game and level the toon.

I like to think of this guild as a clan, like a village that we all live in and share the successes and failures of each other. I therefore have a single rank for all members except those that have truly earned a higher status and that is Clansman. Everyone gets clansman rank after 14 days with our guild (which is a way for us to figure out if you are a good match for us).

Ranks:

Newcomer: self explanatory, can see guild bank, but does not have access to withdraw from the bank. Able to converse in guild chat.

Doghouse: Pretty self explanatory, this rank has had several nicknames over the years, with fond memories of Roswenn's Purgatory. For those who seem to think the rules of the guild don't apply to them. This rank only has the ability to see guild chat, you cannot access the guild bank and you cannot type in guild chat.

Clansman: A member of the guild with the rights of a full time member, you have access to the the guild bank.

Clan Raider: Guildies who have helped on our guild raids (same rights as a clansman, the rewards from raiding is loot)

Clan Hero: this is an exceptional guild member, someone who puts the guild before him/herself. People who continually help their fellow clansmen and donate heavily to the guild banks. Clan hero's have two tabs in the guild bank (as well as access to the free for all tab) and are the precursor to officer status. Can edit notes.

Elite Raider  These guys are our best geared and most experienced players. To achieve the rank of Elite Raider you must show competency. That being said minimums for joining this rank is an imba score of 5500/Wow-heroes score of 2700 and as a dps'er you should be able to maintain a MINIMUM of at least 4000 DPS in boss encounters. Elite raiders get to use the guild bank for repairs with a limit of 30g/per raid.

Clan Officers: These are people who are clan hero's on steroids. Clan Officers have all of the above rights, plus they can boot bad guildies, promote and demote and are consulted to the running of the guild. Full access to officer chat and access to the officers forums.

Class officer: same as Clan officer in rights, but have the responsibility of taking care or their class. They also are one of the few ranks with invite rights. If you have questions about your class, talk with your class officer. Full access to officer chat and access to the officers forums.
